Born in Taranto, on the seaside in the region of Puglia, Italy, he moves to Argentina with his family at the age of 13. He learns Spanish and finishes secondary school. Back in Italy he successfully graduates at University with a MA in Political Sciences. He then starts a course of eclectic experiences working in different fields and always carrying a camera. In 2004 he expatriates to Mitrovica, Kosovo working for the NGO Association for Peace. He starts his photography career as a free lance in 2005. He’s also part of DG Photography together with Daniela Lettner who also contributed to some of the stories on display here. Usually based between Italy and Austria, Giambattista is available for worldwide assigments.
